4 Ideas for How to Integrate Jasper AI into your Content Process in 2025

Key Takeaways:

  • Use Jasper for ideation and concepting on a limited basis when absolutely necessary.

  • Use Jasper mainly for email, meeting note recaps, and other project management-related communication purposes.

  • Use Jasper for tone of voice checks and balances.

  • Do not use Jasper for SEO.

  • Do not use Jasper for content writing. Focus on authentically crafted, natural language instead.

  • Be wary of getting the ask to maximizing efficiency to the extent that you cut corners on content quality.

If 2024 was the year of testing AI writing prompts and building AI SEO products, 2025 is the year of accelerating user adoption and sustained process change.

I’m new to integrating AI into my content creation process so I tested Jasper AI for a free two week-long trial and I learned some suuuuuper helpful how-to nuggets that I’m going to carry with me into future content SEO projects. 👻 💜

But first…random fun fact…did you know Jasper AI, according to Cybernews, was previously called “Jarvis” until they were sued by Marvel? 🤯

Lately I’ve been hearing a lot of questions around how to integrate Jasper (and other tools like it) into their SEO process.

For example, “Our comms team just purchased an annual subscription to Jasper AI. How can we use it for SEO? How can we measure ROI? Who should have access to the tool?”

The short answer to these questions are:

  1. How can we use Jasper for SEO? For concepting and structural inspiration.

  2. How can we measure our ROI? Attribution is dying. Bundle it into your MER costs.

  3. Who should have access to Jasper? Content folks who want to be more efficient in their project communication with other content stakeholders

Before we dive into these questions more specifically, I’d recommend skimming through a recap of the 2025 SEO environment.

And the biggest question of all is, should people even be using Jasper? Or does Jasper just have a killer sales and marketing team that’s been pitching their hearts and brand out since 2021?

Is Jasper worth using?

Short answer: For writers? No. For paid media strategists and social media managers? Maybe.

What Jasper can do vs what Jasper can’t do

Jasper’s says on their website they can help people “supercharge” their SEO strategy through the below use cases, on this page (screenshot below to read through their positioning).

Jasper is reallyyyy good at selling their product, so I want to clarify a few things about the above bullet points listed on their site.

Let’s play a game of true or false:

Content Research & Writing
Jasper can generate keyword-optimized article outlines and first drafts at scale. True But Google favors original content written by humans with helpful, unique things to say about a topic.

Jasper can generate the keywords that an article should be optimized for. False

Jasper can generate content written by humans that presents information gain and an original point of view. False

Content Workflow

Jasper can build your preferred workflow using integrations with Zapier, Make, Webflow, Google Sheets and more. True But you can also do this with Microsoft office or Google suite.

Jasper can build your preferred workflow using integrations with SEO data tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, etc. False

Jasper + SurferSEO add-on can analyze your content rankability. True But you’re better off using Ahrefs or Semrush.

Content Plagerism Checkpoint

Jasper + Copyscape add-on can safeguard you against plagiarism. False

Jasper + Copyscape add-on can help you identify instances of plagiarism and content theft. True But you can also do this with this free plagiarism checker tool.

Jasper + Copyscape add-on takes action to eliminate plagiarism and content theft. False

Technical SEO

Jasper can generate schema markup and FAQs. True But you can also do this with this free FAQ schema generator.

And finally, Jasper can generate schema markup for any other type of schema aside from FAQ schema (Local SEO, Organization, Article, Local business, product, Breadcrumbs, Howto, NewsArticle and others documented here). False

PS. Slapping FAQs at the bottom of every page won’t increase the likelihood of your content being more visible. 🙅🏻‍♀️

How to incorporate Jasper into your SEO process.

There are three key ways to use Jasper for SEO.

1: Generate topics for thought starters before a SME interview.

via Jasper Chat feature

What it can do - provide nuggets of inspiration to expand on.

What it can’t do - prioritize which blog post topics matter the most. This is something that would be outlined in an official content audit which requires an SEO or content strategist and a subscription to a keyword research tool like Ahrefs or Semrush.

Jasper is really not going to be a tool for brainstorming. That’s what content strategists are for.

It also can’t help you identify what your competitors are writing about. For example, Circana’s real organic competitors are not Mintel, NPD, etc.,

2: Drafting rough outlines before a SME interview.

Via Blog Post feature

Jasper is a generic content generator at best, which makes it a good tool when organizing first drafts for blogs, whitepapers, eGuides, reports, etc,.

But, it’s not a think tank. A think tank insinuates the ideas will be net new, and Jasper is only good as the content that it already has access to.

Jasper cannot create original content that reflects the emotional, human experience, which is what Google values so deeply (re EEAT).

I repeat, Jasper does not have the ability to create original content. That’s what empathetic, real human writers are for.

You can use Jasper to generate a framework for inspiration, but ultimately a good technical writer will be able to do this without the tool. If you’re new to an industry and what to get familiar with what’s already been published and how those ideas are typically bucketized, you can Google it, or use Jasper for ideas.

So here’s what that might look like in action. 👇🏻

First, navigate to the Blog Post feature.

For this example, let’s use a topic that we as marketers say we’re going to do, but don’t always do, like making sure PPC learnings are integrated into our SEO strategies.

Enter, “How to integrate PPC learnings into an SEO strategy” as your Blog Topic.

Then, you can use the Generate Response button to create an idea for an outline.

The outline is not SEO-proofed, but the outline does give you an idea of what your blog post flow could look like.  Though the outline would typically be generated from the new and original content you learn from a SME.

These are also topics that might actually be worth avoiding since the Jasper only generates consensus content.

It’s also worth mentioning that you’re just as likely to get a lackluster response from Jasper than you are from ChatGPT when using content prompts.

Here’s an example:

Jasper prompt: “Describe in detail what types of information or outputs you can use from PPC campaign management in SEO strategy and execution.

Jasper result: Regurgitated vague information with overused B2B buzz words like “supercharge”

ChatGPT prompt: “Write a blog that describes in detail what types of information or outputs you can use from PPC campaign management in SEO strategy and execution.

ChatGPT result: Regurgitated vague information with overused B2B buzz words like “supercharge”

The story is pretty much the same with any AI writing tool on the market – the level of knowledge detail you feed Jasper is directly correlated with the level of quality your end content has. And if you get to a point in your content prcess when you can feed Jasper a lot of detail — great!

But then why wouldn’t you just leverage the the talent of a technical writer who will nail writing it with human connection and emotion in mind.

Recommended long-form content creation process

  1. Collect SME content inputs for questions, problems, or feedback from field conversations.

  2. Ideate, determine the topic, and establish the original angle with the SME.

  3. Use Ahrefs or Semrush and do a SERP analysis to find your primary keyword + modifier.

  4. Build a topic cluster to figure out what content you want to include on this page and what content you want to save for semantically related pages.

  5. Write the piece, uninterrupted by a robot’s feedback.

  6. Then, go to Jasper, select Work Flow > Blog Post > and input your keyword > Select Publish.

  7. Take note of the header tags. How is the AI generated article structured? Apply these observations to your original draft.

Wishlist item: Jasper’s content output generates fairly rigid header tag structures. In the future, my hope would be for the header tags and body paragraphs to be a little more conversational and free flowing regardless of what tone of voice you choose to write in, as opposed  to a robotic flow like the below 👇🏻

You can see that the blog Jasper generated shows a generic header structure that looks like an AI content engine made it. (ie H1, formal paragraph, H2, formal paragraph, H2 formal paragraph. 👇🏻 But humans are getting more and more AI content literate and can easily recognize when this happens.

8. Also take note of what Jasper is saying in the body copy. Is it accurate and factual? Is it already overly used in the SERPs? If not, avoid incorporating these concepts into your original draft.

9. Make edits. Write metadata.

10. Run Jasper’s tone of voice suggestions. Make edits.

11. Optimize CTAs, anchor text, and be mindful of your internal linking strategy.

12. Run your original draft through the plagiarism checker.

13. Publish. 💌

3: Checking for tone of voice consistency

via Brand Voice feature

You can use the Brand Voice feature for writing style checks-and-balances.

For example, say you have a thought leader that publishes a bunch of articles per month on a website and they need some help ghostwriting or additional editing support.

Jasper can help ensure the tone of voice is consistent for every blog that lives under their name.

For example, say I wanted all articles that lived under an author’s name to be playful but still assert expertise in a space.

A really good example of this tone of voice is actually used in this article published by MKE DMC.

So all I did was feed the article URL to Jasper. It was easy peasy.

As a second Brand Voice example, I wanted to use a dependable and simplistic tone, kind of like an elementary school teacher without having to repeat themselves a number of times, where there’s somewhat of a nurturing quality, so I used TurboTax as my next example and called it Dependable Simplicity.

I used Jasper’s Chat Feature to confirm what tone of voice TurboTax uses beforehand.👇🏻

Then I fed the TurboTax URL to my Brand Voice library. 👇🏻

After that, I waited about a minute for Jasper to detect the writing style and tone of voice.👇🏻

Then, voila! Jasper gives me a description of the new Brand Voice with attributes through excerpts and how-to instruction for future writing. 👇🏻

You can see my updated Brand Voice library 👇🏻

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.

4. Turn content into a video script.

via the Video Script feature

For example, someone reading your content (aka your audience) is 92% likely to also use YouTube regularly. So, take your original content, with your hot takes and knowledge gain and prompt Jasper to build a 90-second video script as a way to recycle and distribute the original content.

For example, I wrote this blog about our trip to Kauai last year. 🌺🥥️‍🌈

If I wanted to amplify the blog content on other channels as a video, I could use Jasper to draft a video script for me to tease and narrate part of the trip on TikTok (assuming TikTok is in fact not banned on the looming January 19th deadline).

First, open the Home page and select the Video Script app:

Select, “Use app” in the top right corner (purple button). Notice it gives me related apps at the bottom too if I wanted a podcast script or podcast description.

Then, I copied and pasted my blog content under the Key Points section in the left hand nav along with target audience, purpose of the blog, and desired video length.

After that, I selected Generate Now.

And presto chango! A video script is born.

You can even highlight parts of the script and ask Jasper to edit the tone, format the copy to align with LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, etc, or shorten or lengthen the section. SO cool.

What Jasper can’t be used for

Jasper is not a comprehensive seo platform.

It does not pull SEO data into the platform or integrate it. It includes the keywords you feed it, but there’s no search data or proper analysis done to back up whatever content it gives you.

Jasper can’t do the job of a content strategist

A robot can’t answer fundamental questions like the below…

  • What are our marketing goals?

  • What are our content goals?

  • What would be considered original POVs in this space?

  • What content topics should we prioritize and why?

…only a human can do that well. At least for now.

Jasper also can’t do the job of a technical writer.

The superpower of a technical writer is in their ability to extract and translate original information from subject matter expert (SME) interviews/ideations in a digestible way for their target audience.

Here’s what you should do (✅) and shouldn’t do (❌) when using Jasper:

For SEO strategy

❌Conducting a content audit and evaluating what topics are more important to prioritize first

❌ Conducting a technical SEO audit

❌ Building an SEO discovery roadmap

❌ Doing keyword research or SERP analyses

❌ Doing a competitive analysis

❌ Highlighting topics your competitors write about

For content SEO

❌ Asserting an original, creative, or modern take in content

❌ Hosting SME interviews

❌ Writing or optimizing metadata or header tags

✅ Integrating author or brand’s tone of voice

Communication is a human thing. Regardless whether or not a brand is B2B or B2C writers tell stories in ways that resonate deeply with readers. The bigger questions to ask before investing in a platform like Jasper is what plan do you have that shows you understand your audience?

How can I measure ROI with Jasper?

Or, put more generally, “How can I measure ROI with an AI content tool?”

Well for starters, Jasper’s Pro package is $59 per month, and $750(ish) per year all-in. This is the package I’d invest in as a solopreneur because it allows you to switch between three different brand voices (would be nice for three different clients).

To measure ROI, monitor this directionally by rolling it up under the costs of your greater Marketing Efficiency Ratio (MER) for content creation:

  1. First, find your total marketing spend

  2. Then, calculate the total revenue generated from marketing activity

  3. After that, revenue / spend

📈If the number increases over time, keep Jasper

📉 If the number decreases over time, reassess potential cost drivers

Who should have access to it?

From a content creation perspective, the key resources that should have access to the tool include but aren’t limited to:

  • SEOs & content strategists - for communication efficiencies between content project stakeholders and meeting recaps.

  • Technical writers - for thought starters, concepting, and structural inspiration.

In honor of you reading this whole blog about Jasper 🟣👻, I’d like to leave you with a picture of a purple sunrise atop the Nā Pali coast. Mahalo 💟🫧
